Engineering Manager (100% Remote in EMEA)

Location: This is a 100% remote role open to candidates residing in the EMEA region. Due to our compensation strategy, we do not consider applicants from high-cost-of-living locations, such as the Benelux, DACH, France, the Nordics, or the UK.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists in delivering solutions that harness data & the latest AI advancements to generate measurable business impacts, ensuring our leadership in quality software testing services. This role reports to the Director, Engineering.

• In the absence of a dedicated product management team, you’ll play a key role in product discovery, working closely with business stakeholders, internal teams, and freelance contributors to deeply understand product challenges, not just feature requests. You’ll influence both the technical strategy and product direction, making a meaningful impact on user experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow into a product-minded engineering leader with strong product thinking skills.

• Lead a high-performing team focused on Platform work management capabilities (e.g., Tests, Issues, Tasks, Runs), designing and delivering AI-powered features and systems that directly impact users and drive business outcomes. 
• Leading a high-performing team for Core Product features (Test Management, Run Management) to design and deliver features and systems that directly impact our users and business outcomes.
• Driving Scrum rituals, backlog prioritization, and technical design reviews to balance rapid iteration with long-term scalability.
• Lead and manage multiple projects tied to the core product and contribute to the product's growth. 
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business to translate complex problems into actionable, impactful engineering work, owning the solution from concept to deployment.
• Engaging in deep dives on production defects, from root-cause analysis to resolution, ensuring test coverage, and maintaining high coding standards.
• Coaching engineers to grow both their technical skills and their product-thinking mindset, with a strong focus on building AI-augmented capabilities and high ownership.
• Leverage metrics and data-driven insights to inform key decisions and optimize team performance.
• Championing continuous learning through code reviews, cross-training, and documentation practices that eliminate knowledge silos and support team resilience.

Technical Skills

• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in leading & motivating a team of 5+ software engineers, fostering a positive and productive work environment, using agile methodologies.
• 5-10 years of full-stack coding experience, building performant, scalable, and modern cloud-native applications.
• Strong affinity with our tech stack, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, and GraphQL. 
• Prior experience managing a SaaS product is a plus.
