WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
The People Operations Generalist will sit in London within our Regional People Operations team and report to our EU People Operations Lead.
In this role, you will be responsible for running and supporting the day-to-day operations of the People function such as benefits, payroll, HR systems, and day-to-day employee support.
You are critical in ensuring people processes and programs are implemented seamlessly all while maintaining data integrity.
Additionally in this role you'll navigate ambiguity while operating within the constraints of compliance. You'll seamlessly be able to manage competing priorities while acting with a customer-first mentality, bringing emotional intelligence and compassion to all that you do.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lifecycle Processes: Execute onboarding and offboarding processes for our European team, working closely with the IT team and talent acquisition team to create a best-in-class candidate and employee experience:
  • Organizing new hires first day experience in coordination with our People Team and IT Team across Europe
  • Run day 1 Orientation across European locations
  • Keep all on and off boarding checklists and orientation materials up to date
  • Conduct onboarding/exit surveys and check ins with new hires and report out on any trends and common themes

Payroll and Benefits: This position owns day to day payroll and benefit activations, including:
  • Processing monthly payrolls across Europe
  • Maintaining expertise and know-how on compliance and regulation that impacts pay and benefits across the EU
  • Responding to ad hoc employee payroll and benefit questions within 24 hours
  • Owning our internal controls for Payroll, in partnership with Finance and Accounting
  • Acting as our main point of contact for our benefit brokers
  • Leading and creating content for New Hire Benefit Orientation

Employee Relations and Compliance:
  • Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure company policies remain up-to-date and escalate when needed
  • Identify gaps, create and maintain various policies per region ensuring alignment with our company philosophies
  • Manage leave of absences across the region, partnering with the employee and communicating to the People Partnering Team
  • Support immigration processes for the regional and liaise with the People Ops Lead on a case by case basis

People Programs: As a European generalist you will work with both the People team and the employee population to facilitate, build and manage various programs across the company:
  • Identify gaps and solutions, contribute to continuous improvement efforts to program and process enhancements and automations
  • Create and maintain reports on key metrics, analyzing and identifying trends
  • Owning day to day employee questions as they arise through teams and email, including questions on recognition, performance, engagement and policies
  • Maintaining the people repository to continue to provide employee and manager self serve guidance

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
  • 3-5 years demonstrable experience in People Operations across Europe.
  • Exceptional eye for detail when it comes to data management and project organisation
  • Passion for people and HR and a growth mindset around industry norms and trends
  • Customer-focused, stakeholdering and relationships are at the heart of our People team and this is a customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and people skills with a high level of empathy, caring, and discretion

And we'd love you to have
  • Knowledge of French employment law and regulations, bonus if you are fluent in French (spoken and written)
  • Experience using SAP SF or other HCMs
  • Knowledge of European employment laws and regulations
  • Experience processing payroll for EU employees
