Why This Role Matters

 

The role sits within the central Group FP&A team and is responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality management information and actionable financial insight to senior stakeholders across the organisation. The role will own key elements of Group consolidation, month-end analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and Executive and Board reporting, while helping to improve and standardise reporting processes across Commercial Finance. Success requires strong attention to detail, advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, effective stakeholder management, and broad experience of finance systems.

 

 

How You'll Make an Impact

 

  • Supporting the Group FP&A Team with key elements of Central Business Finance

  • Deliver the consolidation and analysis of Group results for month-end, budgeting, and forecasting cycles

  • Prepare accurate, timely reporting for the Executive Committee, Board, and AFRM

  • Budgeting & Forecasting responsibilities including ownership of the financial models, posting adjustments and writing commentary

  • External & internal financial comms. and working with associated internal stakeholders

  • Effective business partnering with relevant business management teams

  • Provide value adding financial insight to key stakeholders through ad-hoc requests and pro-active analysis

  • Improve reporting quality, controls, and key processes, driving best practice and standardisation across Commercial Finance

  • Undertake other ad hoc analysis as required

 

 

What you’ll bring to the team

 

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent), ideally from a top tier accounting firm and with ideally with 1-2+ years’ experience in a commercial finance role.

  • Excellent analytical & financial modelling skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse data, extract the key messages and present them effectively

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong financial systems understanding ideally including ERP and performance management systems such as JDE/ Hyperion

  • Independently-minded individual with good ability to follow up and problem solve and to look for continuous improvement in processes, tools and reporting

  • Capacity to work efficiently and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure and fluid environment

  • Team player

  • Relevant commercial experience

Robust family first policy:

Ø  16 weeks full pay on Maternity Leave
