JOB TITLE: Finance Business Partner - Lending & Working Capital (12 month FTC)

SALARY: £67,000 - £74,400

LOCATION: Bristol or Edinburgh

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

 

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to a finance business partner role to support and drive forward Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business.

BCB serves the financial needs of small and medium sized businesses and CIB serves the needs of large clients who have a strong link to the UK, both driven by the Groups purpose of Helping Britain Proposer and ensuring Sustainability and Strategic objectives are delivered.

The CB portfolio Business partnering team sits within the wider CB Finance Business partnering community of c.40 Finance Business partners.

What will I be doing?

The role will partner stakeholders across the BCB & CIB business and finance, providing financial support to business supporting Products, Segments, Investment and Portfolio management, working within a large and diverse business partnering community, supported by a senior manager.

Day to day you’ll

  • Build trusted relationships across business and finance

  • Build and lead regular and ad hoc financial performance updates, interpreting financials and challenging the business

  • Support the business in making strategic decisions around pricing, proposition and Investment

  • Learn in depth about the products we offer across BCB & CIB, needing to show curiosity to understand performance and build new analysis to help drive this forward

  • Forecasting and Planning to help set the direction of the business providing challenge to ensure we meet our financial commitments

  • Collaborate with the wider FBP community to support the BCB Growth Forum and CIB Finance Resource Meeting

  • Build an in depth knowledge on how a bank makes money, including Income, Costs, Capital and Funding & liquidity providing expert advice to the business
