Overview

The University of Sydney has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Graduate within our award-winning Graduate Program. We are inviting bright and enthusiastic final-year University students to apply to join the 2027 Graduate Program Finance Stream. This role is ideal for a graduate with a background in any of accounting, finance, business analytics with the intent of pursuing a professional accounting designation.

This specific graduate stream focuses on developing and deploying financial services skills and solutions with comprehensive on-the-job training which covers financial and management accounting and financial analysis. The program involves rotation over 3 years, and you will be able to work across teams including: Financial Control and Treasury, Corporate Finance, Faculty Finance and Financial Planning, Analytics and Commercial.

Your journey as a Finance Graduate will begin with fully funded training, the opportunity to gain industry recognised qualifications, as well as mentoring and support throughout. Our graduate program provides the training, education, and support to ensure your continued personal and professional development and success. This includes CA/CPA/MCIPS Program support. You will enjoy reward and recognition through the program and beyond.

About the Graduate Program

The University provides a structured three-year graduate program within our Financial Services unit.

You will gain exposure to complex and diversified tasks within each rotation as well as access to graduate programs aimed at accelerating your career.  In this role, you will receive instrumental mentorship from leaders within the university Finance team, opportunity to liaise with external consultants, training opportunities, the chance to learn leading edge technology, and will enjoy a market competitive salary.

  • a major or masters in accounting is preferred, or relevant accounting experience

  • final-year students studying relevant degree and major (completing studies by the end of 2026)
