About the role
As a Founding Frontend Engineer at Cerve, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, maintaining and securing our products to drive connectivity in the food industry.
In collaboration with the Engineering and Product team, you will design and build our core products. This role involves coding, setting development standards, and ensuring solutions are delightful to use, reliable, performant and scalable.
What you’ll do
As our Founding Frontend Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering exceptional user experiences while contributing to the development of our core systems and products:

Interactive UI Development: Build and produce designs incorporating animations, transitions, and other interactive elements to create engaging and delightful user interfaces.

Design System Ownership: Work on the frontend design system that supports high-visibility mission-critical projects.

Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and setting a high-quality codebase standard.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features that align with product and customer needs.

Leadership & Mentorship: Own and lead projects, support other frontend engineers, advocate for technical and process improvements, mentor junior engineers, and follow best practices to enhance system reliability and performance.

You have

At least 6 years of engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in modern frontend development methodologies and frameworks such as React, Svelte Vue, or similar.

Strong programming skills, including JavaScript, CSS and HTML

Working experience with RESTful API and GraphQL.

A keen attention to detail, with an eye for delivering high-quality UX.

A thorough understanding of engineering best practices, from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews.

Familiarity with design tools like Figma.
