The Role:

 Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for providing aid to the month end close and the organisations overall planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the company's financial performance. This involves developing and managing financial analysis procedures. In addition, the role includes financial analysis, modelling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. 

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Proactively identify and analyse key business across the P&L. 
  • Build strong relationships across the Group Finance team and the wider Finance community. 
  • Proactively engage to improve ways in which FP&A can support them in driving better and stronger results, 
  • Aid in the annual planning and budgeting process company-wide. 
  • Perform analysis required for strategic planning. 
  • Help prepare required reports for management and Board of Directors. 
  • Oversee budget execution by analysing and understanding main budget variances and implication for the business (What) and driving actionable recommendations (So what). 
  • Help coordinate preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual rolling forecasts and reporting on actuals vs. budgeted results 
  • Identify key data sources and utilise data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions. 
  • Continuously develop tools/systems and automate processes; aid the implementation of a budgeting and forecasting solution (EPM) to streamline the forecasting and budgeting processes 
  • Maintain awareness of proper internal controls and make recommendations for any deficiencies. 
  • Protect the organisation's value by keeping information confidential. 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Professional Accounting Qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CIMA). 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience required. 
  • Prior successful experience in a FP&A function. 
  • Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills. 
  • Strong financial modelling skills, along with understanding of financial reporting and cash flow information. 
  • Capable to ZOOM IN/ZOOM OUT when analysing the business and making recommendations. 
  • Demonstrated experience in balancing multiple responsibilities and tasks while meeting deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated experience in working closely with senior stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties to maximise performance, creativity, problem solving, and results. 
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives. 
  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and working with a large ERP/Financial System
  • Relevant sector experience (such as Gaming background, digital, retail or e-Commerce) would serve an advantage.
