We are seeking talented Freelance Translators specializing in English to Chinese (Simplified) post-editing, translation, based outside of China. Position Overview- Language Pair: English to Chinese (Simplified)
- Domain: IT/Software Localization
- Experience: Demonstrated professional translation experience
- Location Restrictions: Must be based outside of China
- Translate diverse source materials from English into Chinese (Simplified) accurately and appropriately.
- Ensure translations are culturally relevant, clear, and align with client specifications.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and style throughout translation projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and reviewers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Review and proofread translated content to ensure high quality deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
- Native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified) with excellent command of English.
- Must be located outside of China.
- Proven professional experience in post-editing, translation preferably in a freelance capacity.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio) is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with remote teams.
