We are seeking talented Freelance Translators specializing in English to Chinese (Simplified) post-editing, translation, based outside of China. If you have excellent translation skills and a passion for bridging cultures and languages, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to diverse and challenging projects remotely.

Position Overview
  • Language Pair: English to Chinese (Simplified)
  • Domain: IT/Software Localization
  • Experience: Demonstrated professional translation experience
  • Location Restrictions: Must be based outside of China
Responsibilities
  • Translate diverse source materials from English into Chinese (Simplified) accurately and appropriately.
  • Ensure translations are culturally relevant, clear, and align with client specifications.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology and style throughout translation projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and reviewers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Review and proofread translated content to ensure high quality deliverables.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Native proficiency in Chinese (Simplified) with excellent command of English.
  • Must be located outside of China.
  • Proven professional experience in post-editing, translation preferably in a freelance capacity.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Familiarity with translation tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  • Good communication skills for collaboration with remote teams.
