What do we do?
Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.
We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 5000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.
The role:
As a Front-end Software Engineer in our Payments and Checkout Group, you’ll be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the checkout — the highest-traffic and most visible component of Paddle. Together with your team, you’ll focus on creating a seamless and intuitive user journey through the checkout and payment flow, ensuring performance and accessibility for all users.
You’ll collaborate with multiple teams, alongside talented engineers, product managers, and designers. Getting involved in a wide range of areas which will provide you with plenty of opportunities to develop your own skills and ultimately grow your career as a valued member of the engineering team.
What you'll do:
Develop and maintain critical user interfaces used by a rapidly growing global customer base, processing hundreds of millions of dollars per month
Collaborate with designers and other engineers to implement new features, from initial concept and planning, right through to rollout, and with excellent written and verbal communication
Apply your understanding of the latest web and browser APIs and techniques to help us build the best-converting checkout on the internet
Level-up the team’s software quality by implementing automated tests, and also by having an eye for edge-cases, system design, and security
We'd love to hear from you if you:
Have a strong technical background with skills in: React, TypeScript, CSS, React Testing Library/Jest, Playwright
Have an eye for detail and take pleasure in building high-quality user experiences
Enjoy a collaborative product development process from design through to deployment and maintenance and what that means for day-to-day development
Have a proactive attitude towards finding ways to improve the code and team processes
Are someone who takes pride in what you build
