The Opportunity:
UserTesting is a leader in providing actionable insights through real user feedback, empowering organizations to enhance their digital experiences. As a Fullstack Developer on the Insights product line, DISCO team, you will be at the forefront of building robust, scalable, and intuitive features. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into high-quality digital solutions. The Team:
The Insights product line, DISCO team at UserTesting is responsible for bringing AI, ML and data driven features into production. The team of 6 software engineers are spread across the West Coast of America through to the UK.
What you will be doing:
Daily analyzing and designing reliable & scalable Engineering solutions.
Collaborating with the Team to bring solid software to production.
Being a critical referent for the architecture under work, able to defend & discuss proposals with managers and teammates.
Providing technical context and finding key points to boost the best decisions.
Bringing fresh views on Frontend, Backend and Software strategies.
Communicating and documenting solutions, so they can optimally go through building phases.
Design scalable & maintainable solutions to absorb the significant usage growth we are facing.
Being an active player while building our software, able to take and/or clarify the most difficult aspects.
Enforcing best practices, advocating for clean code and helping others succeed through Engineering review processes.
What we are looking for:
Ability to develop and maintain both frontend and backend components for new and existing systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Implement new features and enhancements for designated systems using Python and FastAPI for backend services.
Contribute to the frontend using a modern TypeScript React framework.
Leverage and integrate with various AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, S3, RDS, Bedrock) as part of the architecture, with an emphasis on event-driven design.
Experience with database management systems, specifically PostgreSQL and OpenSearch.
Understanding of ML model deployment and LLM integration, including services like Bedrock.
Write clear, concise technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
Actively participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to established patterns.
Quickly understand and navigate existing codebases and system architectures, providing solutions aligned with current technical direction.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack of assigned systems.
Work effectively within a team environment, solicit and act on feedback, focus on root causes, and continually strive to improve processes and systems.
