Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Fullstack Developer GEO-ICT to join our dynamic team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. In this role, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge GIS solutions that address complex social challenges in areas such as energy transition, integrated supply chain, public order and security, and smart cities.

  • Design, develop, and maintain fullstack GEO-ICT applications using modern technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Implement and optimise GIS functionalities within our software platforms
  • Contribute to the technical design and realisation of final software products
  • Work in Agile/Scrum teams within a DevOps environment to deliver high-quality software
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in GEO-ICT and fullstack development
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous learning
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions
  • Potentially take on a lead developer role, depending on work experience

Qualifications

  • HBO or WO education in IT or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a fullstack developer with a focus on GEO-ICT
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or .NET, with experience in both frontend and backend development
  • Strong knowledge of GIS concepts and experience with Esri suite, FME, or other Geo open source solutions
  • Expertise in PostgreSQL and PostGIS or Oracle Spatial and Graph
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira
  • Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of RESTful API development and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Fluency in Dutch (required) and English (preferred)
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js is a plus
  • Passion for staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Enthusiasm for tackling complex social challenges through innovative technology solutions

  • A permanent contract and a gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €6,000 (based on 40 hours per week). The exact amount depends on your experience and the role;
  • 8% holiday allowance;

  • 8% profit sharing on target (or a fixed OTB amount, depending on the role);
