The Games Operations Engineer plays a critical role in managing and deploying game and configuration releases. This position ensures timely updates, seamless operator integrations, and efficient content distribution. It requires close collaboration across teams to maintain quality, reliability, and performance in game delivery processes.
What You'll Do
Game & Configuration Management
Game Releases: Plan, schedule, and complete game releases, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Configuration Oversight: Handle game settings, metadata, and digital configurations to optimize user experience and performance.
BAU Operations: Support ongoing business operations by applying updates and patches with minimal disruption.
Market & Operator Support
Integration Support: Facilitate the onboarding of new markets and operators, ensuring technical compatibility and operational readiness.
Technical Assistance: Fix and resolve issues during connection setups, offering hands-on support to operators and markets.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear and proactive communication with all market and operator collaborators.
Content Management
Content Enablement: Coordinate the release and activation of third-party, Ignite, and in-house content according to planned schedules.
Configuration Setup: Define stakes, features, and gameplay parameters to ensure high-quality, compliant game experiences.
Release Coordination: Partner with content developers and creators to prepare content for seamless deployment.
Team Collaboration
Task Management: Work closely with Games Operations Coordinators to align task distribution with roadmap priorities.
Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for internal critical issues and requests, ensuring swift resolution.
multi-functional Support: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to drive unified, successful releases.
System Maintenance
Script Management: Maintain and improve content distribution scripts for both in-house and Ignite content.
Monitoring: Proactively monitor systems for errors or inefficiencies during release cycles.
Process Optimization: Implement continuous improvements based on feedback and post-release reviews.
What We're Looking For
Experience
Prior experience in game operations or a similar gaming industry role is helpful.
Familiarity with content distribution and management systems is a plus.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and time management abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective team coordination and prioritization skills.
Strong trouble shooting skills
Technical Competency
Experience with release automation and build systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office tools.
Knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and programming (e.g., C#) for tooling is desirable.
