Here’s what you’ll be doing:
You’ll be a T-shaped leader: in other words, while your depth of expertise and passion is about Social Impact and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), you’re a great leader, eager to make your mark through leading our D&I and Social Impact teams.
Reporting to Alissa (Chief People Officer), your time will be split across: Social Impact (approx 50%), Diversity and Inclusion (approx 50%).
This role is a fixed term contract for 6 to 12 months.
As our Global Head of Social Impact and D&I, you’ll:
- own and deliver the Global Social Impact strategy, including effective governance of impact reporting. This includes leadership of the company’s commitment to volunteering; employee and company fundraising; customer social impact and community partnerships; and greenhouse gas emissions and reduction
- collaborate with the leadership team in the UK and US to determine and measure strategically-aligned goals; support senior leaders in sponsoring the social impact strategy
- deliver the global D&I strategy, ensuring the right priorities for our UK, US and Shared Services populations.
- lead a small team of Social Impact & DEI program managers
We’re looking for someone who is:
- a proven strategic and operational leader with experience leading global teams and partnering with senior and executive leadership
- experienced in working with a diverse, geographically dispersed, global employee base
- commercially-minded and able to embed the Social Impact and Diversity and Inclusion strategy into the business;
- financial Services experience is a plus, but not a must
- able to show a track record of being a change agent both internally and externally, with a proven ability in galvanising groups towards a common vision
- in possession of programme management skills, including the ability to develop and implement plans and timelines
- able to analyse and interpret data and use it to tell a compelling story internally and externally, alongside translating analyses into meaningful recommendations and actions
(We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match all the bullet points above to be considered for this role.)
