About Nutrient

Nutrient is on a mission to evolve how humans interact with and experience documents. Our tools transform static files into intelligent, dynamic, and secure workflows—empowering businesses to innovate faster and smarter. Trusted by thousands of organizations across 80 countries—including Fortune 500 companies, governments and public sector leaders—our products streamline processes, accelerate digital transformation, and unlock new possibilities. Backed by Insight Partners, we've grown from a 40-person team to more than 160 across the globe and continue scaling rapidly.

As we scale our operations and move to a new system for payroll and contractor management, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Global Payroll Accountant to own and evolve the pay-to-ledger process and partner with HR on payroll accuracy and process improvement.

Your Role at Nutrient...

This is a hands-on accounting role with global visibility. You will own payroll-related journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting across multiple entities, currencies, and employment types. You will work closely with HR, who processes payroll, to ensure clean accounting and compliance across all entities. Over time, this position will expand to include other aspects of payroll operations, making it ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to grow into leadership.

What You'll Work On...
  • Manage the payroll-to-general ledger payroll process across countries (US, CA, UK, FR, AT) and entities
  • Post and reconcile payroll journal entries and contractor payments in NetSuite
  • Serve as finance representative for Rippling payroll implementation, ensuring data and ledger alignment
  • Partner with Sales Ops to revamp our manual commissions process
  • Maintain clean audit trails and ensure compliance with GAAP and international regulations
  • Prepare payroll and headcount reports for Finance leadership and auditors
  • Support future separation of duties by designing scalable workflows for payroll operations
What You'll Bring...
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting, preferably in multi-country environments
  • Familiarity with payroll for both employees and contractors
  • Strong NetSuite skills required; experience with Rippling is a plus
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and payroll-related compliance and sensitivity to confidentiality
  • Comfortable operating across functions in a fast-paced software or tech environment with a speed of learning and curiosity to understand how everything connects.
  • Detail-oriented, low-ego, and process-driven, with a strong self-initiative and clear sense of ownership
  • CPA or CPP preferred but not required
Who Thrives Here...

At Nutrient, we’re not just hiring for skills — we’re hiring for mindset. The people who thrive here are:

  • Collaborators: You collaborate openly, listen actively, and prioritize team success over ego.
  • Hungry Learners: Rapid learning fuels progress and career growth.
  • Curious Thinkers: You dig deep to uncover the “why,” valuing understanding over simply being right.
  • Self-Starters: You take action without waiting for direction, turning obstacles into opportunities with creativity and persistence.
  • Owners: You take responsibility for solutions and outcomes, always looking for ways to improve what’s within your control.
  • Doers: You’re energized by progress, motivated to create meaningful impact, and eager to tackle challenges.
Why You'll Love Working Here...

At Nutrient, we tackle complex challenges to build tools and solutions that reshape how businesses and developers experience and interact with documents. Our culture is centered around continuous growth and collaboration, ensuring every team member has the opportunity to learn, innovate, and drive meaningful change at our company.

We are a globally distributed company, backed by Insight Partners. We embrace a low-meeting culture and prioritize asynchronous communication to provide flexibility and focus. Working hours overlap with most of the team across the US, Europe, and Asia.

We offer competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and an annual global retreat to celebrate achievements and foster connections. Past retreats have taken place in locations like Croatia, Spain, and Greece.

Nutrient believes in equal opportunity, and we employ people from many different cultures and countries. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, skill sets, perspectives, as well as providing our employees with a work environment free of harassment. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other non-merit factor.
