Start building your career in finance with real impact

We’re looking for a Group Finance Business Analyst to join our Business Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part-qualified or looking to develop a career in finance, and wants to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, professional services environment.

You’ll work closely with the Group Business Manager and wider leadership team, gaining valuable exposure to how financial insight supports decision-making across the business. If you’re curious, proactive, and keen to learn, this role will give you the platform to grow.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting financial performance

  • Help deliver the month-end process, including gathering data, reconciling figures and preparing draft commentary
  • Support the production of key reports such as KPIs, utilisation and trading performance
  • Maintain and update budget and forecast information in financial systems
  • Respond to day-to-day financial queries from a range of stakeholders

Contributing to business planning

  • Support resource planning and headcount tracking
  • Assist in preparing materials for leadership meetings and planning cycles
  • Provide support on firmwide processes such as promotions, performance reviews and remuneration

Providing commercial insight

  • Assist with pricing queries and financial analysis for proposals
  • Support secondment analysis to help ensure commercial decision-making

Improving processes

  • Identify opportunities to make reporting and processes more efficient
  • Support the rollout of new systems and ways of working

Working collaboratively

  • Partner with colleagues across Business Management and FP&A teams
  • Contribute to cross-team and cross-office initiatives
  • Help ensure a consistent and high-quality approach across the firm

Developing your career

  • Take ownership of your professional development, including studying towards a relevant qualification
  • Make the most of training and development opportunities available

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from individuals who are motivated to build their career in finance and enjoy working in a team environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Part-qualified status (ACCA, ACA or CIMA), or a strong interest in working towards a qualification
  • Experience in a finance, analytical or business support role (professional services experience is helpful but not essential)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
  • A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills

What will help you succeed in this role

  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to learn
  • Confidence communicating with different stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your work

What you’ll get in return

  • A supportive environment focused on learning and development
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders and business decision-making
  • Opportunities to grow and progress your career in finance
  • A collaborative culture where your contribution is recognised and valued

What happens next?

Once your application has been submitted and reviewed, our Recruitment team will share the outcome with you by email.

We typically hold two interview stages per vacancy providing the opportunity to meet two members of the hiring team at each stage. The first stage is typically conducted virtually and the second stage typically in person at the office in which the role would be based. However, we strive to remain flexible depending on the requirements of the role or the candidate.

Our strength lies in our differences.

We are a Disability Confident and top Stonewall employer, a Valuable 500 member, a signatory of the Race at Work Charter and a proud partner of Neurodiversity in Law. We encourage and value different ideas and styles of thinking. It’s with different perspectives that we’ll find solutions to our clients’ most complex challenges. It’s how we’ll deliver outstanding results today, and tomorrow. We want everybody attending an interview to be comfortable and able to fully demonstrate their experience and talents.
