Job Summary

Amoria Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Group Financial Controller to lead our finance function in Manchester. This is a senior leadership role responsible for financial reporting, compliance, cashflow management, and supporting business growth across a group of international subsidiaries.

You will play a key part in managing financial operations, overseeing audits, preparing statutory accounts, and partnering with senior leadership to drive business performance. This role offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy in a growing international organisation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of accurate monthly management accounts and group consolidated financial statements
  • Manage annual statutory accounts, tax filings, and ensure compliance with international regulations
  • Oversee external audits for the group and subsidiaries, liaising with UK and overseas advisors
  • Lead cashflow forecasting, intercompany reconciliations, and credit line reporting
  • Provide financial analysis and variance reporting to the CFO and divisional leadership
  • Support preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Manage and develop a finance team including Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Payroll Lead, and Treasurer
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and group policies
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support decision-making at Board level

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
  • Several years of senior finance experience within a multi-entity, international organisation
  • Strong knowledge of statutory accounts, group consolidations, and international accounting standards
  • Experience in managing multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange movements
  • Proven track record of managing and developing finance teams
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills

Desirable Experience

  • Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) exposure
  • Professional services sector experience
  • Experience preparing European statutory accounts
  • Hands-on experience with cash management and payroll oversight

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Commercially aware with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team
