This is a highly strategic role requiring deep industry expertise, strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into tangible business value across investment, operational and corporate functions.

Working closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders and technology teams, you'll drive AI-enabled transformation across the organisation and ensure we maximise opportunities while maintaining strong governance and regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Driving and evolving Aegon Asset Management's enterprise AI strategy in alignment with business goals and technology priorities.

  • Advising executive leadership and the Management Board on AI opportunities, risks and strategic direction.

  • Leading the industrialisation of AI by transitioning successful concepts and pilots into scalable, production-ready solutions.

  • Establishing and overseeing AI governance frameworks, policies and standards to support responsible and ethical AI adoption.

  • Partnering with senior business leaders to identify, prioritise and deliver high-impact AI initiatives across investment, operational and corporate functions.

  • Driving adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Aegon AI and emerging agent-based technologies across the organisation.

  • Leading the AI Steering Committee and managing a portfolio of AI use cases prioritised by value, risk and strategic alignment.

  • Developing and leading a specialist team whilst managing AI investment priorities and external strategic partnerships.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Significant experience within asset management or financial services, with a strong understanding of how technology and AI can create business value.

  • A proven track record of defining and delivering large-scale strategic, technology or transformation initiatives across complex organisations.

  • Extensive leadership experience, including influencing senior stakeholders and operating effectively at executive level.

  • Experience in AI, advanced analytics or data science within a large enterprise environment.

  • Knowledge of generative AI, machine learning and emerging agent-based technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for a broad range of audiences.

  • A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on delivery, innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Experience working with strategic technology partners and vendors to accelerate capability growth and business outcomes.

What's in it for you?

  • A competitive salary, depending on the experience you can bring

  • A non-contributory pension between 9%-13%

  • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance

  • 27 days leave per year (plus bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)

We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.

At Aegon Asset Management, we are committed to fostering a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture. We value diversity in the full range of human uniqueness without limitation including race, gender, ability, language, culture, beliefs, age, origin, background, perspectives and experiences.

We are open to considering flexible working practices. Please talk to us about what this means for you.

We serve a diverse, ever-changing world. It's tough, but we work tirelessly to leave things better than we find them. If that sounds like the sort of place you'd like to work, hit the "Apply" button.
