Department: Product & Technology

Location: Home based, UK (with occasional travel to our London office)

Reports to: Director of Curriculum

Hours: 37.5  per week

Salary: Depending on experience

 

Role Overview: 

As the Head of Curriculum Product, you will be a key leader within the department, responsible for delivering the overarching product strategy while leading a high-performing team. This role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, technical depth in AI and a hands-on approach to product ownership. 

In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will retain hands-on product ownership, working closely with cross-functional teams—including content developers, subject matter expert trainers and the curriculum team—to design and deliver high-quality training programmes. You will also collaborate with the delivery, sales and marketing teams to support the adoption, rollout and ongoing success of new programmes within business-as-usual operations.

Key responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:
  • Support the definition and delivery of the long-term product roadmap and strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and evolving market trends.
  • Identify new market opportunities and translate them into actionable, scalable product initiatives.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Product Managers, providing strategic guidance and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Manage resource allocation across the product portfolio to ensure strategic objectives are met on time and within scope.
  • Oversee performance reviews, professional development, and the growth of individual team members.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to measure product success, user engagement and ROI.
Product Ownership:
  • Retain direct product ownership for specific high-impact products within the portfolio.
  • Act as the primary Product Manager for these specific products, managing the full lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering to delivery and iteration.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering teams to scope technical requirements and manage Agile delivery processes.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Delivery) to ensure successful product adoption and go-to-market execution.

Candidate Specification: 

Essential

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven experience delivering product strategy and vision in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Technical Background: A strong technical foundation with a deep understanding of Machine Learning, Data Science or AI and data-driven product development.
  • Product Expertise: Extensive experience as a Product Manager, with a track record of managing complex, high-growth products.
  • People Management: Demonstrated success in line management, having mentored and developed Product Managers or cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Rigour: Strong skills in data analysis, user research, and ROI estimation to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and technical teams alike.

Desirable

  • Experience in high-growth B2B or B2C SaaS environments.
  • Proficiency with technical and collaboration tools such as Git, Notion and Slack.
