Reporting directly to the Managing Director of the MGA, you Over the next 6 to 12 months, you’ll take the helm of our pricing strategy across four distinct brands, driving ambitious targets across the entire SME market. This is a chance to lead our data evolution during a pivotal year, ensuring that predictive analytics and machine learning sit at the heart of every commercial decision we make.
What makes this role different is the level of executive impact you’ll have in a fixed-term capacity. You’ll be a vital part of the MGA leadership team, delivering directly against strategic priorities for our UK executive team and building a high-performing culture that champions the small business cause.As one of our Head of Risk Pricing, Data and Analytics, you’ll:
  • Execute complex pricing strategies that balance growth with healthy profit margins across our diverse target markets.
  • Simplify the complex by translating technical analysis into clear, actionable commercial strategies that the whole business can get behind.
  • Lead and inspire our pricing and data teams, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels empowered to do their best work.
  • Drive technical innovation by adopting machine learning techniques to sharpen the accuracy of our risk pricing models.
  • Manage vital relationships with third-party capacity providers, building trust in our strategic and commercial plans.
  • Spearhead our data strategy, integrating external third-party data to give us a refreshing competitive edge in the market.
We’re looking for someone who is:
  • A strategic commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering results in complex, multi-brand environments.
  • Technically expert in predictive analytics and machine learning, particularly within financial or insurance contexts.
  • An empowering people manager who focuses on engagement, professional growth, and fostering an inclusive culture.
  • A clear communicator who can make data-led concepts relatable and simple for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Knowledgeable about the SME market, understanding the specific pricing challenges and opportunities within this landscape.
  • An analytical thinker who is comfortable building and implementing data-led decision-making frameworks at a senior level.

This role may be subject to FCA regulations, which we'll determine during the hiring process. If it is regulated, there will be specific responsibilities under FCA regulations, including enhanced checks and referencing. We'll explain everything in more detail as part of the hiring process.
