Salary National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £39,100 to £49,000 and London £41,600 to £52,000 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

Operations provides the platform and tools to enable the organisation to deliver on its statutory objectives. We work in partnership with the rest of the organisation to provide specialist support across a wide range of areas to deliver quality services and value for money.
The HR Advisory team sits within HR Policy and Delivery. The focus of the team is to provide guidance, coaching and support to people managers on a full range of people processes and policies.
What will you be doing?
In this key role you will be aligned to an area of the organisation to build relationships and provide advice, guidance, and support to people managers on a full range of people processes, policies and procedures. This will include probation, performance management, sickness absence, flexible working, as well as the informal stage(s) of grievances and disciplinaries. You will independently manage informal employee relations cases, as well as working on longer term strategic projects. You will work in partnership with other teams in HR, including Business Partnering and Employee Relations, as well as external partners, such as occupational health providers. You will use data and information to provide insight and take an evidenced based approach with stakeholders.

Minimum
- Experience in coaching people managers through a range of HR policies and procedures and providing generalist HR support
- Evidence of being able to flex style and approach to communicate effectively
- Experience of building relationships, influencing and challenging appropriately
Essential
- A good team player who demonstrates an inclusive approach, and the ability to influence and challenge to deliver shared goals
- Foundation level excel skills
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing tasks
- Confidence to clarify problem/scope, evaluate pros/cons of options as well as benefits and risks before arriving at well-balanced decisions
- Comfortable with producing and analysing data to provide insight and take an evidence based approach
