HR Intern – Summer 2026

8-week placement

Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 3-days per week)

Alongside this, Enterprise Technology (ET) acts as Aegon’s global IT partner, delivering the technology, infrastructure and innovation that underpin the organisation’s operations worldwide.

We’re currently have a unique opportunity for a student to join us over the summer as a Project & HR Advisory Support Intern. Over the 8-week internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience across both HR project delivery and day-to-day HR operations. This role will support a defined HR project while also support operational cover for a HR Advisor. Over your placement, we’ll ensure you have meaningful work which will help develop your skills as you start out in your career.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a penultimate or final year student studying a HR degree

  • Have a strong interest in HR, people operations & organisational development

  • Are proactive & highly organised with the ability to work under your own initiative

  • Enjoy collaborating with others to achieve high quality outcomes

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

To be eligible for this opportunity, you’ll be required to be available for the duration of the 8-week internship. You will work 7-hours per day, Monday to Friday on an hourly rate of £14.42.
