Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and execution-focused Projects & Business Management Lead to join us and support the Business Area Head for People & Communications and the broader People & Communications function. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and transformation, ensuring that key initiatives across People, Culture, and Communications are effectively designed, executed, and delivered.

You will act as a strategic partner and program leader, translating priorities into structured programs, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring strong governance, reporting, and follow-through. A key focus of the role will be supporting the development of a modern, data-informed, and business-oriented People & Communications function, helping shape how the function operates, delivers value, and partners with the business.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on project execution and enjoys working in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.

Program Management

  • Lead and manage strategic initiatives across People, Culture, Communications and Location Management.
  • Translate functional strategy into structured programs, roadmaps, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving HR, Communications, Leadership, and other business teams.
  • Track milestones, risks, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

Building a Modern People & Communications Function

  • Support the design and implementation of a modern, future-oriented People & Communications function working together with the Divisions
  • Help define operating models, governance, and ways of working that enable strong business partnerships and impactful delivery.
  • Contribute and/or drive initiatives related to employee experience, data-insight and digital HR, process improvement and Communications
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase impact, and leverage data and technology in decision-making.
  • Contribute to strengthening the function’s role as a strategic partner to the business and a people advocate

Business Management & Operational Excellence

  • Support the annual planning cycle for the BA, including strategic priorities, OKRs, and budgeting.
  • Monitor performance and progress of key initiatives through dashboards and reporting.
  • Ensure operational alignment and prioritization across the People & Communications organization.
  • Improve processes, governance, and ways of working within the function.

Executive Support

  • Prepare high-quality briefing materials, analysis, and presentations for executive leadership.
  • Connects within the People & Communications functions as well as with our people across Avaloq to provide insights on trends, people engagement, culture, and communication effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on best practices in people and communications strategy and organizational transformation.
  • Support the preparation of materials for executive committees and board discussions.

Change & Transformation

  • Drive the planning and follows implementation of major people and culture initiatives.
  • Coordinate change management and communication strategies to ensure successful adoption.
  • Monitor impact and progress of transformation programs.

Governance & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Establish governance frameworks for major initiatives.
  • Organize and support leadership forums, steering committees, and project boards.
  • Ensure alignment across HR, Communications, and other business functions.
  • Track decisions, actions, and accountability across strategic programs.

Qualifications

  • Strong track record of experience in strategy, consulting, program management, HR, or business operations.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate strategy into action.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with experience preparing executive-level presentations and reports.
  • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive progress in a dynamic environment.

It would be a real bonus if you have:

  • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or people strategy/HR transformation.
  • Familiarity with people analytics, organizational design, digital HR tools, or culture initiatives.
  • Experience working with senior executives or leadership teams.
