Job Responsibilities:
About the Role
The HSE Coordinator plays a crucial role within the team, you will offer HSE support and guidance on essential activities such as incident and accident investigations, compliance inspections, audits, risk assessments and COSHH assessments, while also helping to ensure legal and other compliance.
You will assist the Division in meeting its objectives and targets including:

  • Accreditation to ISO14001 standard
  • Magna corporate audit readiness
  • Delivery of behavioural based observation programme
  • PPE review
  • Ergonomics programme delivery
  • Claims investigation and accident reduction
  • Carbon neutral programme and energy reduction


Your Responsibilities

  • Enforce the company policies in relation to health safety and wellbeing for employees, contractors and visitors to site
  • Ensure legal and corporate compliance
  • Provide support and advice to the company in projects and/or that have an impact on employee health and safety, and/or the environment
  • Maintain the company's HSE System, and records
  • Control and have involvement in all accident, incidents or near misses on site, and undertake the necessary investigations as required
  • Conduct and participate in externally and internally led site audits for HSE, with the responsibility for preparing action plans and following through on plan requirements
  • Arrange and coordinate HSE meetings
  • Foster a safe and healthful work environment
  • Contractor management, manage contractors in all aspect of H&S
  • Any other duties commensurate to the role.


Essential

  • Recognised certificate by the Institute of occupational Safety and Health
  • Good understanding of safety methods and processes
  • Be able to work own initiative and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the Company
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office
  • Behaves in a professional manner
  • Good communicator who is open and honest
  • Focused on continuous improvement with a safety mindset
  • Self-motivated, organised and methodical with a result driven approach
  • Flexible with good decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Personable and approachable


Desirable

  • 2 years safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH certificate or working towards
  • Full drivers' licence
  • Safety manufacturing background
