Job DescriptionAs a Human Resources Administrator, you will join our HR team providing support to our HR department, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative tasks.
You will undertake a range of essential HR administrative tasks on a daily basis. Your attention to detail and organisations skills will be crucial in maintaining efficient HR processes. Based at our offices in Stoke-on-Trent, you will support the delivery of a first class service to all our stakeholders working together to drive business growth.
Experience as an Administrator is preferred but previous experience in human resources is not necessary as comprehensive training will be provided, covering our specific HR systems and administrative processes.
The day-to-day work is interesting and fast paced. You will initially focus on absence processing, conducting any required background checks for new starters and processing employee updates whilst gradually expanding your portfolio of tasks and responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops.
This position is offered working 5 days from 7 (typically Monday to Friday). The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately. There are two fixed term positions available; one 12-month contract and one 6-month contract.
Qualifications- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines
- Highly self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Hands on approach with experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Managing the end-to-end process for new starters, including accurate completion of all necessary documentation and conducting right to work checks in line with statutory requirements
- Coordinating and verifying employment references and other essential background checks, ensuring all records are meticulously maintained according to internal policies and procedures
- Processing absence across the business, maintaining up-to-date records and responding to management queries where necessary
- Supporting HR processes throughout the entire employee lifecycle
- Maintaining accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Providing first-line administrative support for general HR queries, whilst escalating to management when critical issues are identified
