JOB TITLE: IBM Mainframe Db2 and IMS System Programmer
SALARY: £70,929 - £78,810
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at our location listed above.
About this opportunity
As an IMS & Db2 Systems Programmer on the zSeries Mainframe you'll be part of a team who are the technical authority for this area. This is a hands-on role where you’ll configure and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies (and to agreed service levels) and will assist with the delivery of projects within the teams' focus – this includes out of hours. Additionally, you’ll provide technical support (including incident and problem resolution for systems and processes in complex environments).
Key responsibilities
Support and implement changes to our estate within Lloyds Banking Group as required.
Resolve incidents and problems across the Lloyds Banking Group estate in line with key performance indicators.
Represent our support team in WAR room/conference calls with incident management and technical teams, collaborating to restore service.
Support testing cycles, providing feedback to test managers on results.
Provide 24x7 support and support projects and team workload as needed.
Work effectively with wider Mainframe teams to ensure a smooth transition of projects into live service.
Provide consultancy skills to application teams as required.

What skills you’ll need
Experience in performance tuning and diagnosis.
Proven ability to engage and communicate technical issues and concepts effectively with key partners.
Highly motivated and dedicated to timely results, adaptable to urgent project needs.
Determination to recognize and drive service improvements related to products and processes across the z/DB Platform.
Confirm solutions/services fit for production in Gateway process, collaborate with project teams for smooth support handover.
Expert knowledge of Db2 on the Mainframe.
Strong delivery experience, ideally within complex IT environments or companies.
Integrity and dedication in commercial and interpersonal awareness, particularly when working with third parties.
