As an immersion specialist, you will be part of the team responsible for floating and positioning concrete tunnel elements or caissons, equipping them in the port, transporting them from temporary storage locations to the offshore site, and installing them at sea.
In the preparatory phase, you will be involved in the development of operation manuals, work plans, and coordination between teams to ensure smooth execution. In the operational phase, you will be part of the team that performs the immersion activities, ensuring the correct positioning of the elements or caissons on the seabed.Your ResponsibilitiesDuring the Preparatory Phase:

Develop operation manuals, drawings, test and inspection plans, and contingency procedures for the full Transport & Immersion scope, which includes both the floating and immersion of concrete tunnel elements and caissons.

Create detailed work plans that describe operations and define the outfitting and ballasting requirements for both concrete tunnel elements and caissons, coordinating with the design teams.

Lead interface management with other departments to align on specific aspects of the Transport & Immersion scope.

Assist in the development of Immersion Pontoon Control Systems, Tunnel Control Systems, and survey techniques.

Liaise with external parties such as the Marine Warranty Surveyor and port authorities to establish work procedures and Go/No-Go protocols.

Support the creation of schedules and manage purchasing packages.
During the Execution Phase:

A qualified civil or industrial engineer with experience in the immersion of large structures or offshore lifting operations.

Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in challenging operational environments.

A team player with strong communication skills, able to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.

Fluent in English; additional language skills (e.g., Dutch) are considered an asset.
