Job Description
Join our Corporate Employee Digital & Service Experience Team as an Immigration Right to Work Analyst, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Right to Work verifications across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and support our diverse workforce.
As an Immigration Right to Work Analyst within the HR Global Operations Team, you will manage operational aspects of the employment life-cycle for J.P. Morgan employees. Collaborating with external immigration consultants and local HR teams, you will ensure compliance with local government regulations, focusing on Right to Work verifications and visa tracking. Your role requires confidence in an employee-facing position and strong attention to detail.
Job responsibilities

  • Partner closely and build strong relationships with external immigration consultants and key internal stakeholders (Graduate team, Onboarding, Recruitment, and local HR contacts).
  • Take ownership of validating new hires' compliance before employment start dates, liaising with recruitment and onboarding teams to adjust start dates if verification is pending.
  • Facilitate timely capture of visa data into core systems and reconcile with the Firm's immigration consultants.
  • Track employees holding work permits or visas for expiries and participate in the renewals process, ensuring adherence to end-to-end controls.
  • Support employee and manager queries via the Firm's query management system, ServiceNow, and the team mailbox.
  • Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are updated continuously.
  • Assist in delivering key reporting, KPIs, and service effectiveness indicators.
  • Participate in ad hoc project work, including automation initiatives.
  • Monitor the team mailbox daily, responding to queries from employees, managers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Process standard immigration reference letters and review draft certificate of sponsorship documents.
  • Generate reports to monitor job data changes for firm-sponsored visa holders and submit changes to the UK Home Office as required by regulations.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficient data manipulation skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with internal clients at all levels.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a proficient understanding of EMEA immigration regulations in partnership with our external Immigration Consultant.
  • Strong team player with the ability to integrate and add value quickly.
  • Good analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Knowledge of employer immigration regulations is an advantage but not essential if willing to learn and upskill quickly to SME level.
