Role Description

Working within the FNZ Internal Client Money Reconciliations team you will be responsible for reconciling the financial transactions made by FNZ’s clients. The team is also tasked with, reconciling client positions and identifying and resolving client money shortfalls. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple clients helping you to develop and gain all the skills and knowledge you need to progress in your career.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the completion of daily Internal Client Money Reconciliations. This role sits within the FNZ CASS Office.

The analyst will report directly into the Team Manager and will engage with all other areas of the business in relation to the production of the Internal Client Money Reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Production and review of daily Internal Client Money Reconciliations to agreed deadlines

  • Challenge Internal and External processes to ensure compliance and best practice

  • Review and improve internal processes and procedures, providing feedback to other Operational teams where appropriate

  • Keep abreast of any new developments/regulations within the market place

  • Deal with complex issues and deliver resolution

  • Provide support to the business based on technical knowledge of team and role

  • Support and embed any approved change into the role

  • Support manager in reviewing work and production of MI

  • Support to review any project documentation to assess impact to team

  • Review procedures periodically to ensure completeness and accuracy of current process

  • Identify and drive forward ideas to continuously improve the existing operating process

  • Keep up to date with market changes and developments that impact the team, have a sound overall awareness of the team’s functions

  • Have technical understanding of platform functionality and operation, end to end view of the process and platform for team

Experience required

  • Understanding of CASS rules and how they apply to the operational environment

  • Ability to analyse, present and report complex regulatory information to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external parties at all levels

  • Strong Excel skills including ability to take data from multiple sources and produce accurate and timely reports

  • Highly organised, confident, decisive and enthusiastic self-starter

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines:  and as part of an effective team as well as autonomously

  • Ability to escalate issues when appropriate

  • Analytical

  • Flexible, adaptable and able to respond effectively to changing business needs

  • Attention to detail

  • Results orientated

  • knowledge of UK investment products and markets
