Department Overview
This is an exciting opportunity with high visibility in the Mobile Video finance department. The mission of the Mobile Video finance department is to deliver value to the business operations team by providing financial support through timely, data-driven analysis, effective resource planning and management of business performance to help our business partners execute on their strategic and operational priorities which contributes to a strong financial performance. As Motorola Solutions accelerates innovation and growth in these areas, the finance organisation has a unique opportunity to support the Mobile Video business unit.
Job Description

This role is hybrid working with the expectation to be in the London office once a week and to visit Edinburgh once a quarter.

Purpose of the Role

  • This role is responsible for Int’l Mobile Video.
  • Incumbent will partner with business to provide support on Order & Sales Forecast.
  • Build relationships with the functional team in Motorola.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working with the In Country Finance team on the correct allocation and revenue accounting especially for SaaS (Software as a Service), Perpetual License, On-cloud services & Products.
  • Forecasting monthly orders, sales, gross margin and budgets, and monitoring the actuals.
  • Month end accounting includes preparation of Mobile Video Order, Sales & Gross Margin.
  • Project Management including monitoring & reviewing the projects.
  • Closely follow up with Project manager and business lead on achievement of sales & order.
  • Submission of inputs to headquarters in a timely manner.
  • Getting involved in setting up products in the order management systems.
  • Closely working with the Development/Products team on the various projects.
  • Resolving the Commercial issues with Customers.
  • Operate as strategic partner with management to evaluate overall performance and profitability of the business
  • Supporting the IT team in future implementation.
  • Maintaining and managing through risks and opportunities within each quarter and fiscal year with transparency
  • Liaising with tax managers to ensure correct intercompany tax accounting
  • Cross-functional partnership across finance, product, sales, and operations.

Basic Requirements

Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business and a wealth of experience
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Finance.
  • High ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to assist the team with day to day activities where necessary

Desired Skill

  • FP&A experience in a corporate environment
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Financial and business support experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Multi-lingual a plus
  • Preferred Location - London (UK) & Krakow (Poland)
