Responsibilities and proficiencies expected include:
- Act as a liaison and "concierge" for demand intake-listening, translating, and aligning needs across Business and IT.
- Facilitate requirements elicitation from business stakeholders, focusing on current workflows, pain points, and desired business outcomes.
- Translate business needs into non-technical language and prepare clear briefings for IT audiences to align understanding.
- Avoid premature solutioning-guide teams to define the "what" before exploring the "how."
- Collaborate with Portfolio Directors and Application Leaders to manage demand intake, strategic alignment, and forecast resource capacity and budgets for upcoming work.
- Provide visibility into demand pipelines and support prioritization based on strategic alignment, business impact, and resourcing constraints.
- Guide business requestors to consider budgetary implications early in the demand process-including vendor involvement, software procurement, licensing needs, and travel costs.
- Identify high-level risks and opportunities associated with each demand to better inform prioritization and downstream planning.
- Partner with business and IT leadership to gather necessary approvals where applicable and ensure proper alignment before technical planning begins.
- Continuously improve the demand intake process by standardizing templates, clarifying required inputs (e.g., business objectives, scope, expected outcomes, constraints), and ensuring early alignment across stakeholders to reduce rework and delays.
- Demonstrate ability to follow through on actions and maintain consistency in stakeholder engagement, documentation, communication across the lifecycle of a demand and/or small work effort.
- Track and manage small work efforts using visual dashboards and tools; establish a cadence of scheduled check-ins or status meetings to ensure alignment, progress visibility, and timely issue escalation
- Monitor and manage risks and opportunities through the lifecycle of each demand/small managed work effort, ensuring they are tracked alongside progress and outcomes. Track completion of work and support measurement of key performance indicators such as time-to-complete and throughput of small work efforts.
- Identify and assist coordination with any compliance requirements related to the demand or small managed work effort, this can include internal and external security assessments, or data sensitivity evaluations as needed.
The candidate shall be highly customer focused and experienced in collaborating across teams in a matrixed structure.
