We are looking for passionate, multi-talented IT Demand Manager/Business Analyst with demonstrated history working in the Industrial Goods/Manufacturing Industry. The IT Demand Manager acts as the primary liaison between the Business Units and the IT Department. The role is responsible for the systematic intake, assessment, prioritization, and high-level analysis of business demands originating from all the Business Units that the client supports. This is a critical position as it ensures that incoming IT requests are accurately captured and translated into actionable high-level requirements, as well as they are introduced into the overall demand backlog after being properly qualified.
Responsibilities
1. Demand Gathering and Assessment:
- Consolidates, reviews, and evaluates demand requests on a recurring basis so that a unified and transparent IT Demand Backlog is maintained.
- Applies clear and agreed prioritization criteria (impact, urgency, etc.) according to the client's IT Prioritization Framework.
- Facilitates Demand Review Boards, presenting recommendations and supporting decision-making.
- Monitors each demand item through its full lifecycle until handover to IT delivery teams.
2. Initial Scoping / High-Level Analysis
- Performs initial scoping and preliminary analysis to validate business needs and expected outcomes together with the Demand requestor(s).
- Analyses existing business processes, identifies gaps, collects and documents them in high-level Business Requirements Documents.
- Defines initial acceptance criteria and high-level user stories to support estimation and planning.
- Collaborates with Technical Leads to assess feasibility, constraints, and alignment.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication
- Serves as the focal point for IT demand intake and prioritization topics.
- Builds a trusted relationship with Business Units, ensuring a good understanding of their objectives and challenges.
- Communicates clearly about timelines, prioritization decisions, dependencies, and IT resource limitations. Sets realistic expectations and promotes transparency between business and IT stakeholders.
- Supports the IT governance framework by maintaining KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as IT Business Analyst or Demand Manager
- Demonstrate proficiency in eliciting, analyzing and documenting requirements both business and technical (integration-oriented analysis).
- Perform impact analysis and gap analysis.
- Experience on refinement/technical analysis activities and capability of translating business requirements to development tasks.
- Experience in ERP, SAP, SAP S/4HANA, MOM/MES, Planning & Scheduling projects is highly desirable.
- Experience in working and interacting with client facing, manage stakeholders, users and conduct requirement workshops, map processes and use cases and analyze business cases.
- Knowledge of how software applications work: what are their core pillars, how they communicate and how they affect the user’s experience.
- Analytical mind and ability to synthesize, abstract and communicate the information at a level suitable for the target audience.
- Experience with Agile/Waterfall methodologies is considered a plus;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Languages required: English and Greek, both written and verbal.
