Location(s):  Glenrothes, Livingston or Harlow, Essex with Hybrid working (2-3 days a week on site).  Summary of Role 

Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced and proactive Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Information Technology function, supporting the successful end-to-end delivery of transformational IT projects. You will work within a collaborative team of senior project managers, contributing to a diverse and dynamic portfolio of key technology initiatives. 

In this role, you will operate with autonomy, take ownership of complex project environments, and contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement, delivery excellence, and business transformation. We’re looking for someone who can anticipate challenges, collaborate effectively, communicate confidently, and bring a strong foundation in project management complemented by a commitment to ongoing professional development. 

Key Responsibilities 

·        Lead and manage multiple IT infrastructure projects concurrently from initiation through design, build, test, implementation and closure. 

·        Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering technical delivery, engineering resources, infrastructure dependencies, procurement, testing, implementation, cutover and operational handover. 

·        Coordinate delivery across network, hosting, server, cloud, security, identity, end-user computing and other infrastructure teams, managing dependencies and resource constraints. 

·        Work closely with Infrastructure and Solution Architects, Engineers, Cyber Security teams and technical SMEs to ensure solutions are deliverable within agreed scope, timescales and budget. 

·        Plan and coordinate infrastructure migrations, implementations and technical cutovers, including change windows, implementation and back-out plans, go/no-go decisions and post-implementation support. 

·        Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues and changes, ensuring effective project controls and appropriate escalation. 

·        Manage third-party suppliers, technology vendors and contractors, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones and commitments. 

·        Ensure projects meet appropriate security, compliance and technical governance requirements, including progression through CAB and other approval processes. 

·        Manage Service Transition and Operational Acceptance, ensuring solutions are supportable and effectively transitioned into BAU, including Early Life Support. 

·        Provide clear reporting and stakeholder communication covering progress, milestones, financials, dependencies, risks, issues and key decisions. 

·        Build strong working relationships across Infrastructure, Architecture, Cyber Security, Service Management, business stakeholders and delivery partners. 

Essential Candidate Requirements 

·        Demonstrable experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, implementation and operational handover. 

·        Proven delivery experience across multiple enterprise infrastructure technologies, such as networks, firewalls, hosting, servers, virtualisation, storage, cloud, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID and end-user computing. 

·        Practical experience delivering infrastructure migrations, implementations and technical cutovers within complex enterprise environments. 

·        Sufficient technical understanding to work effectively with Infrastructure Architects, Solution Architects, Network Engineers, Cyber Security teams and technical SMEs, and to challenge technical dependencies, assumptions, risks and estimates. 

·        Strong experience managing technical dependencies and resources across multiple infrastructure workstreams. 

·        Experience of Service Transition, Operational Acceptance, Early Life Support and BAU handover. 

·        Experience working within controlled IT environments involving change control, CAB, technical governance, cybersecurity and compliance requirements. 

·        Strong project management capability covering integrated planning, financial management, RAID, change control, stakeholder management and reporting. 

·        Experience managing technology vendors, third-party suppliers and specialist engineering resources. 

·        Practical experience using Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery approaches within technology environments. 

·        Experience leading projects involving multiple technical stakeholders, with budgets up to and exceeding £1m. 

·        PRINCE2, PMP, APM PMQ or equivalent recognised project management qualification. 

·        Degree or equivalent professional experience within IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Infrastructure or another relevant technical discipline. 

·        Must be eligible to obtain UK SC clearance. 

Desirable skills: 

·        Infrastructure delivery experience within defence, aerospace, government or another highly regulated environment. 

·        Experience working within a large, global or matrix-managed organisation. 

·        Knowledge and practical application of ITIL, particularly Change Management, Service Transition and operational support. 

·        Experience working within a structured PMO and governance environment. 

·        Experience using Microsoft Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps or equivalent project delivery tools. 

·        Experience delivering projects within environments requiring formal security, compliance or information assurance controls. 

·        Six Sigma, Lean or other process improvement experience or qualifications.
