What you'll do

As a Digital Technology - IT Support Apprentice, you’ll be supporting the day-to-day technology infrastructure and Production Management across Dell Powermax, ECS, PPDM, Data Domain and Netapp environments. You’ll also monitor and undertake remedial action to keep our services active and meet appropriate quality standards.

Day to day you’ll be:

Communicating and collaborating with stakeholders across the Domain, including Production Manager, Domain Lead, Deployment Manager and Feature Teams to ensure the robustness and resilience of the Platform

  • Supporting the capacity management across the Network, Backup and Block storage estate and ensuring we meet the capacity needs of our stakeholders
  • Understanding the importance of our Change Management and stakeholder engagement processes to ensure that we are protecting customer services during any scheduled change
  • Ensuring applications and infrastructure are fully compliant to mandated standards, by adhering to processes and security compliance, working closely with Feature Teams, understanding the upcoming changes and collaborating to prevent potential issues occurring

The skills you'll need

We’re seeking passionate and curious individuals to join our Digital Technology Apprenticeship. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in technology who enjoys problem solving and understanding how things work. You’ll have a logical and analytical approach, an inquisitive mindset, and a strong desire to learn. No prior technical experience is required, just enthusiasm, curiosity, and the motivation to develop digital skills in a real-world environment.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to maintain a strong customer focus
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to challenge and offer solutions
  • A numerate skillset with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to change
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively

Our apprenticeships are designed for people new to the subject. If you already have substantial experience or qualifications in this area, you may be overqualified. Please check our FAQs before applying.

You’ll also need to have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme. Unfortunately, this role does not meet Skilled Worker Visa requirements.
