Duration: Permanent, full-time

Reports to: IT Manager | Europe & Middle East

Location: Bracknell (with occasional travel to other NEP locations)

Role Overview

As an IT Support Specialist, you’ll be a key member of NEP’s Global IT Shared Services team. You’ll provide hands-on technical support and assist our Systems Administrators with infrastructure projects in a primarily Microsoft-based environment, supporting 800+ users across multiple countries and business units.

This office-based role requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to ensure IT systems, infrastructure, and services align with NEP’s operational goals and the company’s One Europe strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with the IT Manager, Head of IT (Europe & Middle East), and technical colleagues globally to maintain a secure, efficient, and scalable IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first- and second-line technical support to employees with varying levels of IT proficiency.
  • Maintain and operate corporate computer systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor systems and security alerts, taking proactive steps to mitigate issues.
  • Perform regular data backups, system patches, and software updates.
  • Work with vendors and support partners to troubleshoot and resolve service outages.
  • Support the planning, documentation, and execution of IT projects.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain local and remote IT equipment.
  • Manage and update an accurate inventory of IT assets.
  • Deploy new hardware and software solutions in line with business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation of IT procedures and best practices.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to employees as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate timely status updates.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contribute to the team’s overall success by taking on additional duties as required.
  • Be available for occasional out-of-hours support when necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in an IT support or systems administration role, preferably within a multi-site or international organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments and Office suite 365,
  • Experience troubleshooting network, hardware, and software issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
  • Comfortable working within a global matrix structure and collaborating across regions.
