We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our globally distributed team. This role is critical in managing user access and ensuring our internal IT systems (OKTA, Jamf Pro, Google Workspace, GMail, JIRA, Confluence, and more) run smoothly and securely. Initially reporting into the DevOps team, the position may transition into a dedicated IT department as our company continues to scale.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can manage and optimise user access, JIRA workflows, JIRA Service Requests, and other key tools, while supporting our compliance initiatives such as ISO27001 and SOC2 certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Platform Administration: Manage the advanced configuration and optimisation of Jira projects, workflows, and Confluence environments to ensure efficient team collaboration.
- Access Control: Administer user permissions and authentication for core systems, including OKTA and Google Workspace, while maintaining strict security controls.
- Asset Management: Oversee the administration of hardware and software assets using MDM and Identity Management tools like Jamf Pro.
- Systems Support: Provide end-to-end maintenance for approximately 80 different IT systems and act as the primary point of contact for technical issue resolution.
- Compliance & Security: Support the implementation of ISO27001 and SOC2 frameworks by aligning operational practices with documented security policies.
- Audit Readiness: Collaborate with security teams to provide evidence for audits and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations and onboarding.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with HR, DevOps, and Security departments to streamline processes and adapt IT functions to evolving organisational needs.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of JIRA administration, including advanced workflow configuration, custom fields, permission schemes, and automation.
- Experience administering identity and access management platforms (e.g., OKTA) and collaboration suites (Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with Confluence and other Atlassian tools.
- Understanding of basic security, data protection, and compliance principles, especially related to ISO27001 and SOC2.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively within a remote, cross-functional team environment.

- Atlassian Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Jira and Confluence administration, including complex workflow design and project tailoring.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Skilled in managing OKTA, Google Workspace, and MDM solutions such as Jamf Pro.
- Compliance Frameworks: Practical knowledge of ISO27001 and SOC2 standards and the ability to enforce associated security controls.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues across a diverse range of cloud-based and local IT systems.
- Process Optimisation: A continuous improvement mindset focused on streamlining workflows and enforcing best practices within a growing IT function.
- Technical Writing: Capable of developing thorough documentation, user guides, and audit-ready reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills for working effectively with diverse teams like HR and DevOps to meet shared objectives.
Nice to have's
- Exposure to DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Previous involvement in compliance-related projects or audits (ISO27001, SOC2) is a plus.
