Role Overview

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust backend services and deploying cloud-native applications using modern engineering practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance, and scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).

  • Design, build, and deploy microservices running on Kubernetes clusters.

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating build and deployment processes.

  • Work with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise application performance and reliability.

  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and best-practice standards.

  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong Java development skills and solid experience with microservices architecture.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies (Docker).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Helm.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible).

  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting skills.
