The Junior Middle Office Analyst is responsible for post trade processing, supporting broker queries, reconciling trading activity, and maintaining internal tools, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.
Role Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of post trade processing from point of execution to clearing and settlement. Ability to work in a team, learn quickly and retain knowledge is essential. Minimum 2 years relevant experience required
Middle Office:
- Provide first line support for Broker queries relating to trade confirmation, clearing and settlement of trades in Listed Derivatives and FX.
- Be proactive in resolving all settlement issues which arise.
- Be a key contact to clients’ middle office teams.
- Be a key contact to the firms Clearer
- Responsible for post trade processing through our internal systems.
- Responsible for reconciliation of trading activity and cash movements to Clearer
- Responsible for reconciling trade data with exchanges.
- Responsible to provide intraday and end of day reports to head of desks and partners.
- Responsible for maintaining a variety of system static data points.
- Set up new broker accounts and controls at relevant exchanges and with clearing broker.
- Escalate any issue to the relevant Middle Office Team Leader or Head of Operations.
IT:
- Responsible for the maintenance of the internal tools
- Responsible for understanding any new requirements of each desk.
- Assisting in testing new internal software.
- Root cause analysis of current and legacy systems and processes to propose improvements
- Root cause analysis of recurring problems to help build efficient solutions.
Key Skills:
- Strong Communication skills (verbal and written). The role will require constant communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong team player - good ability to work with others and support other team members.
- Self sufficient - able to work effectively in a hybrid working set up
- Technical skills would be well received but not essential
