Job Summary:


We are seeking a motivated Junior UX Designer to join our UX Design team at BlueCat. You will report to the Director of UI/UX and assist in designing user-centered experiences for our digital products. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and User Researchers, you will help create seamless product solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses a foundational understanding of user-centered design principles, and has strong visual and interaction design skills. A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering quality designs is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with UX Design team members, Product Managers, Engineers, and User Researchers to understand user needs and business requirements.

· Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interaction ideas.

· Assist in designing intuitive and user-centered interfaces for applications, ensuring consistency and usability across platforms.

· Help maintain design guidelines, style guides, and UI component libraries to ensure consistency in design processes.

· Provide design work that includes high-fidelity prototypes for development handoff.

· Collaborate with Engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs throughout the development process.

· Advocate for user-centered design principles and educate stakeholders on the importance of good design.

 

Required qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

· 2 years of experience as a UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing design skills and processes.

· Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma).

· Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and interaction design.

· Experience creating wireframes and interactive prototypes is a plus.

· Knowledge of usability testing methodologies and applying user research insights to design solutions.

· Strong visual design skills, including an understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design decisions effectively.

· Detail-oriented mindset focused on delivering high-quality designs within project timelines.
