Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)

Join Computershare's Issuer Services business as a Lead Business Analyst. You will lead a team of Business Analysts and help the wider BA and Product Owner community use AI tools and automations to work more efficiently. 

A role you will love

As a Lead Business Analyst you will consult with the Senior Business Analysts and Business Analysts, wider development teams and our key stakeholders to support the delivery of high-quality solutions.  You will provide guidance and support to a number of cross-functional agile teams maintaining oversight and will be accountable for customer-oriented solutions aligned to the overall Computershare strategy and values.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, have the ability to analyze and interpret data, using great problem-solving skills to provide solutions and recommendations that will increase system and process efficiency and will have strong stakeholder management skills. Reporting to the Global Head of Customer Ops, you will agree a personal career plan to promote your strength and support your development needs. 

Key responsibilities

  • Leading requirements discovery and definition, from stakeholder workshops to user stories, for new features and opportunities 
  • Using AI tools, agents and prompts to help your team be faster and more efficient in their day-to-day work 
  • Working closely with Product Owners, Test, Engineering and business stakeholders to translate complex business and system processes into functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Spotting processes that can be automated or handed to AI, and judging whether it is feasible and worth doing 
  • Developing and mentoring other BAs to build real understanding of AI tools, not just surface familiarity 
  • Using systems thinking and root-cause analysis to break down processes or troubleshoot problems 
  • Working closely with the QA and UAT teams to support testing of new solutions, including using AI to test faster 
  • Managing your team's performance, growth, recruitment and succession planning 

What will you bring to the role?

  • A clear understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies 
  • Able to clearly translate business needs into requirements and explain complex concepts in plain language 
  • Hands-on experience building and using AI tools and automations to speed up business analysis work 
  • Comfortable partnering with architects, developers and testers to shape requirements that are technically sound and feasible 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills 
  • Deep knowledge of analysis frameworks, and experience documenting large business domains, business rules and user journeys as well as system behaviours 
  • Attention to detail and a process/analytic mindset 
  • Able to structure and break down problems, develop solutions, and drive to results 
  • Process management knowledge with a focus on detail and clarity of outputs 
  • Relevant AI-related experience in banking products/technology preferred
