Job Responsibilities:
- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials
- Drive outcomes-oriented probing of applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new and leading-edge technologies
- Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Cloud engineering experience in provisioning resources in Google Cloud Platform or AWS
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within cloud engineering (GCP, AWS)
- Practical cloud native experience on GCP and/or AWS
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry and IT systems
- Practical experience with cloud platform technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and distributed systems architecture
