More about our mission and what we offer.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a strategically-minded Lead Analyst to join our Marketing Analytics team. This role is centered on owning reporting and deepening our understanding of what actually drives marketing growth, while helping the wider team pursue the opportunities and gaps that matter most.
You'll focus on surfacing strategic opportunities from our Marketing Financials process and making them accessible for action across our analytics and marketing context. By using and streamlining emerging technologies and AI in the team, you will play an important role in the technical engine and processes that turn complex data into central resources, insights and clear prioritisation.
In this role, you'll spot the horizontal opportunities that don't surface within any single Marketing Analytics pillar, build the business case for the ones that matter, and hand them to the right team to execute. You won't own every initiative, but you'll be the one who sees the whole board and helps decide where the leverage is. You'll also shape how we operate as a wider team, defining and improving how we collaborate and prioritise.
You have the business acumen to know what makes a data product genuinely useful to marketing stakeholders at a strategic level and a real interest in enabling other analytics teams to pursue the opportunities you find. You'll keep data quality solid across a broad horizontal scope, building a clear, reflective view of past growth drivers while laying the foundation for future strategy, ideation, and understanding across the wider analytics team.
Your Mission
Your mission is to turn complex marketing data into a scalable engine for insights, growth driver explanation and strategic execution. You will own the technical set-up behind how we explain marketing performance, developing the automated tools (such as Streamlit apps, AI/agentic automation, and reporting tools) that make the drivers of our growth clear and easy to act on. You will further enhance productivity and prioritisation within the wider Marketing Analytics team leveraging these same technologies into effective and streamlined processes such as semantic layers, impact calculations and AI-skill alignment across teams.
Rather than just reporting the financials, you'll focus on the why to pinpoint the highest-value opportunities within our Marketing Financials process, working closely with the wider marketing, analytics, product, and regional teams to carry those opportunities through to execution and improvement. You'll also use your cross-team overview to strengthen how the wider Marketing Analytics team works, so that we prioritise, manage, and deliver initiatives effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Ownership
Growth Driver Explanation: Build and maintain the reporting, tooling and infrastructure to explain marketing growth drivers, ensuring the wider business clearly understands the mechanics and the why behind our performance.
Automating Insights: Lead the further productionising of our Marketing Financials process, shifting the focus towards automating driver analysis and providing deep-dives that uncover the core reasons behind growth performance.
Opportunity Identification & Enablement: Proactively identify key opportunities and gaps within the Marketing Financials process and drive these into execution with the wider Marketing Analytics-team and stakeholders.
Advanced Analytics Tools: Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics consumption tools, including Lightdash reporting, Streamlit apps, and AI/agentic automation to provide clear, accessible explanations of growth drivers. Play a constructive role in streamlining usage of these tools across the wider Marketing Analytics team.
Impact-Driven Delivery: Balance technical rigor with speed to deliver meaningful data products that translate complex growth drivers into clear business impact.
Leadership & Partnering
Successfully collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Analytics and Regional teams, acting as the crucial bridge between identifying data-driven opportunities and executing them within the wider marketing context.
Be a subject matter expert on technical infrastructure within the Marketing Analytics team, ensuring our systems are optimized for driver analysis and explanation rather than just standard reporting.
Contribute to the overall analytics strategy, ensuring that tribe data and analytics are discoverable, leveraged, and heavily focused on actionable understanding.
Effective project management and communication skills, with the ability to inform multiple horizontal initiatives in parallel, sequence them by impact, and keep the right stakeholders aligned from identification through to execution.
Skilled at defining and improving ways of working across the wider Marketing Analytics team, establishing the practices and prioritisation frameworks that help multiple pillars collaborate efficiently and focus on the highest-impact work.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience in a marketing analytics, data engineering, or insights role, ideally at the start of your technical lead journey.
Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Python is required.
Experience with modern data stacks, including dbt, data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), and visualization/semantic layers like Lightdash or Looker.
Proven competencies in identifying analytical opportunities within financial/marketing processes and reporting on them effectively
Strong ability to understand the underlying mechanics of marketing to ensure technical products are meaningful and focused on explaining growth drivers.
A focus on building systems and automated insights that drive measurable improvements in how the business understands and acts upon data.
Experience and interest in project management, ways of working improvements and enabling wider teams in efficient collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building data products, such as Streamlit apps, custom internal tools such as JIRA, or AI-integrated workflows.
Familiarity with AI-native development workflows and tooling (e.g., Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate the build of data products and automated agents.
Proven ability to automate context around data, creating technical systems that effectively communicate and explain the drivers of growth to a wide stakeholder set.
