About the team

As the engineering organization matures, the infrastructure teams are the key to Airwallex's ability to build a globally distributed platform, increase engineer productivity and ensure effective use of resources. Our team works to provide the best possible experience for our developers and customers while providing a safe and secure environment to ensure that our financial solutions are always available.

What you’ll do

The networking team delivers a reliable and secure cloud and physical network to support Airwallex’s global financial infrastructure.

As a team lead, you will lead the team to collaborate with key domain teams such as Payments Platform, Tech Platform, etc., to deliver high-quality solutions and maintain the SLA higher than 99.999%. By using various tools and bleeding technologies, you will streamline the team’s delivery process and ensure it meets the requirements of regulators.

This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

· Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers based in Singapore.

· Plan, build and ensure the network environment of the company's financial infrastructure.

· Cross connect IDC and public cloud networks to build a global high-performance network.

· Formulate and implement cybersecurity strategies to meet compliance and audit requirements.

· Deploy network monitoring systems to discover network faults.

· Manage and secure hardware devices such as switches, routers, HSMs etc.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

· 8+ years of experience in enterprise-level network planning and management.

· Previous experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.

· Bachelor degree or above in computer science or networking related majors.

· Familiar with switching, routing and firewall configuration of mainstream equipment, proficient in BGP, IPSec, MPLS.

· Familiar with public cloud network products and interconnection configurations such as AWS and Google Cloud.

· Familiar with at least one programming language (Golang or Python).

· Strong ability to analyze and solve problems independently.

Preferred qualifications:

· Have CCIE/JNCIE certificate.

· Familiar with Equinix/Megaport.

· Familiar with Terraform/Ansible/ArgoCD/Helm.
