The Senior Network Lead will act as a strategic technical authority, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions, across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role will focus on network architecture excellence, security best practices, and operational efficiency for critical enterprise applications. The position will collaborate closely with global network engineering teams, cloud architects, and security specialists to ensure seamless integration and compliance across diverse platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee network segmentation initiatives at both macro and micro levels to strengthen security and compliance.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly available, secure, and redundant LAN/WAN infrastructure, integrating on-premises and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and others).

  • Define and enforce network security policies, leveraging advanced tools and frameworks to maintain compliance and protect against evolving threats.

  • Administer and optimise Cisco networking technologies and Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-native networking services.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture documentation, including diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.

  • Validate network health, performance, and security posture across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.

  • Drive network automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

  • Collaborate with cloud and security teams to design secure connectivity models, including Zero Trust principles and advanced identity-based access controls.

  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex network and security incidents.

  • Manage vendor relationships and telecom providers for connectivity services and upgrades.

  • Champion formal change management processes for production environments, ensuring risk mitigation and compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3 years in multi-cloud networking and security.

  • Deep understanding of networking best practices, security frameworks, and cloud connectivity models.

  • Proven experience in 24x7 production environments with high availability and disaster recovery requirements.

  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), SD-WAN and cloud networking (Azure Virtual Network, AWS VPC).

  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, including encryption, segmentation, and threat mitigation.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, and identity management solutions.

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.

  • Ability to travel for work within the Americas region up to a few times per month.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCNP Security, CCDP, or cloud networking/security certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate).

  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible).

  • Exposure to Zero Trust architecture and advanced security technologies (ISE, NAC).

  • Strong interpersonal and people skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams.

  • Preferred language: English.
