The Opportunity

FICO Xpress Optimization has a broad customer base and is a critical component of FICO Platform – the next generation, applied intelligence platform. As a support expert for mathematical optimization solvers and modeling, you will work with cutting edge research teams, sales and customers, and directly contribute to the successful usage of FICO Xpress Optimization. Your responsibility will be to support the use of FICO Xpress Optimization for clients and client-facing internal teams. What You'll Contribute
- Provide remote 3rd level technical support for global clients.
- Provide guidance on performance tuning of FICO Xpress Solver.
- Provide guidance on best practices when working with the rich range of model application programming interfaces that FICO Xpress provides.
- Assist users with examples and tools to demonstrate use cases.
- Work with the development teams to resolve any incidents.
- Work with product management and development teams to help drive development of FICO Xpress Optimization.
- You will have the opportunity to work in a team with some of the leading experts in Mathematical Optimization.
What We're Seeking
- PhD level degree in Computer Science, Operations Research or similar/related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of Operations Research and Mathematical Programming in particular.
- Significant experience with Python and working with NumPy and Pandas.
- Experience with Mathematical Optimization solvers, such as FICO Xpress, Gurobi, IBM Cplex or SCIP.
- Experience with Mathematical modelling software, such as Pyomo, PuLP, FICO Mosel, IBM OPL, AMPL or GAMS, is beneficial.
- Experience with Java, C# and/or C/C++ is beneficial.
- Experience with cloud computing and containerization (Docker) is beneficial.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively with a remote team.
