About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges ✈️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 160 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily 💻.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all 🌍.

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? 💪 Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Lifecycle Marketing Designer (CRM) to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.

About the role

(Hybrid)

This is where design meets momentum. As a Marketing (CRM) Designer, you’ll shape how millions of travellers experience Skyscanner across lifecycle touch points — from email, WhatsApp, push to in-app, and everything in between.

You’ll be at the heart of our retention ecosystem, partnering closely with Lifecycle Marketing, Content, Brand, Product and Engineering to turn smart strategy into scroll-stopping, action-driving creative. It’s hands-on, fast-moving, and full of opportunities to experiment, refine and raise the bar.

Alongside crafting campaigns, you’ll help evolve how we design at scale — building systems, patterns and templates that keep things consistent, high-quality and (crucially) effective.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing lifecycle communications: Creating visually clear, on-brand emails, push notifications, WhatsApp and in-app messages that travellers actually want to engage with.
  • Building scalable design systems: Developing and refining reusable templates and components that flex across markets, moments and messages.
  • Designing with data: Using insights, testing and performance metrics to iterate, improve and make every pixel work harder.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally: Partnering with Lifecycle, Content, Research and Developers to turn briefs into polished, production-ready creative.
  • Championing craft: Bringing strong hierarchy, layout and accessibility into every touchpoint (yes, even the tiny ones).
  • Curating visual assets: Selecting and shaping imagery that elevates the work while staying unmistakably on-brand.
  • Staying ahead of trends: Keeping a curious eye on lifecycle and messaging innovations — and bringing fresh ideas back to the team.

About you

  • Visually-led designer: Your portfolio shows strong fundamentals in layout, typography, composition and storytelling — the good stuff.
  • Lifecycle thinker: You design modular, reusable components across CRM channels with a clear understanding of the wider traveller journey.
  • Brand-savvy marketer: You know how to work within guidelines while still creating engaging, modern, high-performing creative.
  • Detail-obsessed: You spot the 1px misalignment. And yes, you fix it.
  • Commercially aware: You understand that great design drives results — and you’re comfortable designing with KPIs in mind.
  • Collaborative communicator: You can present your work, explain your thinking and take feedback on board without losing the magic.
  • Adaptable self-starter: You juggle multiple campaigns, prioritise like a pro and keep cool when timelines get spicy.
