Capital One's Enterprise Services (ES) Business Risk Office provides risk management support to several lines of business including: Brand, Enterprise Supplier Management, Enterprise Products & Experience (EPX), Software, External Affairs, eData, Global Workplace Solutions, Emerging Payments, Ventures, and Technology. As a Business Continuity Manager you will support all Enterprise Services lines of business in developing and maintaining robust business continuity plans and strategies that meet Capital One's Business Continuity Standard and Policy.
We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined professional who excels in a close-knit team environment. This person should have excellent communication skills, strong problem solving skills and great attention to detail. The ability to build strong relationships is key to success in this position.
You will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile projects. You will partner across ES to develop and support cutting-edge risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second line of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change to better manage the Company's risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.
Responsibilities (Example):

  • Provide guidance, expertise and support for Business Continuity and Resiliency efforts
  • Support all areas of Business Continuity to ensure resilient strategies are in place and adequately tested; support exercise development and facilitation as needed
  • Stay current on understanding effective operational resilience strategies
  • Assist with identification, tracking and mitigation of all aspects of Business Continuity/ Resiliency Management including controls, risks and issues
  • Partner with other Line of Business Risk offices, 2 nd Line Risk Management functions and other appropriate stakeholders and partners
  • Assist with development, delivery, and support of data analytics regarding ES risk management practices, outcomes and trends
  • Provide Audit and Exam management support
  • Strong relationship building skills, customer focus and ability to collaborate across teams to deliver
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, fostering positive working relationships with business partners


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal or external business clients across multiple levels
  • At least 5 years of risk management, business continuity management, technology resilience, or a related discipline, or a combination


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or related certifications
  • 6+ years of risk management, business continuity management, technology, or a related discipline, or a combination
  • 6+ years of Financial Services industry experience within risk or technology, or combination of both

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Cyber Risk & Analysis
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
