About Inspiration Commerce Group (ICG)
We’re a team of ~50 people who’ve done 6 acquisitions in 18 months and scaled from $0 to >$100M in revenue. We’re a global group with businesses across the US, UK, and EU. We buy and build companies that help people find and buy the products they love. Our portfolio includes leading fashion marketplaces like Italist, HEWI and Verishop, affiliate marketing platforms like Stylight and MyBestBrands, B2B technology solutions like Bonsai, and niche Marketplaces in the Creator and Construction spaces like Everpress and DOZR.
We’re looking for a high-ownership, fast-learning Operations Manager who can become a true right-hand to the executive leadership and grow into leading multiple operational departments across our portfolio.
This is not a narrow role. It’s a “get smart fast, own messy problems, build simple systems, and make them scale” role.
If you want a place where you’ll be trusted with serious responsibility early—and you thrive in ambiguity—you’ll probably love this.
ICG is a fast-scaling group building and operating e-commerce and marketplace-style businesses. Our primary growth strategy is M&A. We move quickly, keep teams lean, and expect managers to be builders and problem solvers—not just coordinators.
This is a cross-functional, high-impact role sitting at the intersection of operations, logistics, customer support, and performance management (but not limited to that).
You’ll lead initiatives across multiple smaller departments and step in wherever operational ownership is needing. Over time, you will build the capability and credibility to manage broader operational scope across ICG’s other entities.
You won’t be micromanaged. You also won’t have a big team to hide behind.
This is a role for someone who wants to earn real influence through results.
Your scope will evolve based on business needs and your strengths, but will likely include:
Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Identify and drive high-impact initiatives across multiple functions and entities (e.g., Logistics, Customer Support, Finance, HR, Product, Marketing, etc.). Sometimes you’ll lead a project with various team members, and other times you’ll own it independently end-to-end.
Own and Scale Core Operational Domains: Take direct ownership of key day-to-day operational areas with the mandate to improve performance, reliability, customer outcomes, and cost efficiency. Over time, your scope can expand across additional operational teams or departments.
Optimize Operational Processes: Improve workflows across teams to enhance efficiency and scalability. Build lightweight, practical systems and processes that reduce chaos, eliminate unnecessary steps, and improve execution speed.
Develop and Track KPIs: Build dashboards and reporting systems to monitor performance across your domains. Conduct deep dives into operational data, identify root causes, and turn insights into measurable improvements.
Lead Operational Problem-Solving: Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and cross-team friction points. Recommend solutions, align stakeholders, and drive implementation with minimal oversight.
Support M&A Integration: Collaborate on integrating newly acquired businesses by aligning processes, systems, service standards, and operational cadence with ICG expectations.
Contribute to Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner closely with leadership to shape priorities, pressure-test plans with data, and translate strategy into clear execution plans with owners, timelines, and accountability.
You’ve taken ownership of at least 1–2 major operational areas.
You’ve delivered measurable improvements in speed, cost, quality, and/or customer outcomes.
You’ve successfully completed multiple projects independently.
You’ve built simple processes that reduce leadership involvement in day-to-day firefighting, but increase efficiency.
People across teams see you as someone who gets things done without drama or hand-holding.
We’re looking for someone with the mindset and baseline skill to grow fast.
Must haves~2+ years of experience in a high performance environment: management consulting, BizOps, strategy, operations, product ops, or a high-growth company.
Strong analytical thinking: you can go from messy data → clear insight → practical action (this is crucial and will be heavily tested).
High ownership: you don’t wait to be told what to do.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities.
Possibility to work B2B (we might not have an entity to hire via employment contract in your country yet!)
You are proactive, independent, and relentlessly pragmatic.
You keep things simple and scalable.
You have a growth mindset—but also the discipline to earn your growth through delivery.
You don’t need frequent check-ins to stay accountable.
You can handle “unsexy work” without ego.
Experience with logistics, fulfilment, returns, or marketplace operations.
Experience in customer support ops, QA, or service design.
Exposure to M&A integration or multi-department operations.
Strong understanding of AI, knowing how to leverage AI to get things done quicker or to fully automate processes.
Strong spreadsheet/SQL or BI skills.
Opportunity to grow fast, with no corporate ceiling — your progress is limited only by your ambition and delivery.
High trust, high autonomy, and real responsibility early.
A flexible, remote/hybrid environment where you’ll have a lot of freedom and flexibility. We hire adults and treat them like adults.
20 days of paid vacation per year.
The chance to have a meaningful impact on a business and see the results of your work.
Starting compensation will be based on candidates skills and experience, feel free to share your expected compensation in you application.
We will not always be able to guarantee work-life balance or perfect stability. Part of growing quickly is that everything isn't perfect — there are times where we work in the evenings, over weekends, and put in much more than 40 hours in a week. This isn't an everyday thing, but to thrive in this role you'll need to be comfortable with the fact that balance isn't always there in the moment. We therefore encourage you to find ways to create balance in a macro sense, and manage your own schedule accordingly.
A ton of people and resources. We operate lean teams and, in an effort to maintain profitability and free cashflow, we are very careful about where we spend and what we spend on. This means that you will wear multiple hats and will sometimes need to improvise to get the job done.
Majority of our leadership team is in Toronto CA, so it is expected that you would be able to partially align with EST zone in order to attend all meetings. Meetings are in most cases done by 6PM CET.
It’s not a role where everything is already structured for you.
It’s not a role for someone who needs heavy process, a big team, or constant direction.
It’s not a role where work-life balance is perfectly predictable at all times. We aim for sustainability, but high-growth phases can get intense.
Application review: fast and transparent.
Interviews: with leadership and key stakeholders.
Case study (paid): realistic operational problem.
Offer.
Send your CV and a short note answering:
A complex problem you owned end-to-end.
A process you improved and the measurable impact.
Why this kind of broad, high-ownership role fits you.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just support operations— but someone who can eventually lead them.
If you want a seat close to the action, with the expectation that you’ll grow into multi-department ownership, this is your shot!
