Job Duties and Responsibilities
Systems Engineering Manager with Boost Mobile will lead a team of Build/Release, Tier-1 Systems Engineers, focused on the operations and deployment, who build and maintain distributed, highly available datacenters and virtualization platforms that directly support wireless 5G initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Systems/Cloud Engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Oversee distributed system architecture and manage product roadmaps.
  • Drive Agile practices, balancing efficiency and innovation.
  • Define standards for VMware infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance, including backups and automation.
  • Recommend updates to software or architecture to address capacity limitations proactively.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Leadership, Management or a related degree; four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in VMware services and tools
  • 2 or more years of people leadership experience


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading teams through management or as a team lead.
  • Hands-on expertise in bare-metal VMware deployments and multi-site administration.
  • Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD automation, and systems security.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and microservices principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead regionally distributed teams and manage diverse groups effectively.
  • Disciplined in maintaining and versioning system documentation in large enterprise environments.


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $145,000.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
