The Manager, VAT Compliance develops and implements strategies to aid their clients in complying with VAT legislation. Managers lead and manage multiple operations of the VAT practice area and deliver quality VAT services. The Manager maintains strong relationships with clients and tax authorities. They also continually develop their technical VAT knowledge in additional countries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops a global vision and understanding of client's business and flow to ensure that VAT compliance is completed accurately and efficiently.

  • Delivers a full range of VAT services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe.

  • Manages the client’s files and identifies and mitigates VAT risks.

  • Builds relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and VAT expertise.

  • Supervises the answer to the information requests and audits performed by the tax authorities on behalf of the clients.

  • Helps businesses and individuals create strategies for dealing with VAT and prepare for their future in the financial market.

  • Defines goals and deadlines for the team's work and determines what work needs to be done to meet those goals.

  • Leads team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

  • Provide training to team members.

  • Delivers improvements for procedures and projects.  

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Law, Management or Economics.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process.

  • Professional experience of at least 7 years in a multinational company/environment.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation and research.

Certificates and Licenses:

No specific certificate or license.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor office environment.

  • Long periods of sitting while working at computer.

  • Occasional long periods of standing.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.

  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and vendors both in person and via email and telephone.

  • Independent travel requirement: 5 – 10%
