Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Associate or Experienced Manufacturing Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join our team in Smithfield and Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides production support during all phases of manufacturing
  • Creates of bill of material and production build plans while leading and implementing manufacturing plans
  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems
  • Implements lean principles and technologies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience is electrical/electronics manufacturing
  • Experience in 3D Modeling applications such as Catia, Siemens NX, Creo
  • Experience using manufacturing execution systems such as TipQA Shopfloor Execution or Costpoint
  • Experience in creation of manufacturing planning and lean manufacturing

Shift:
This position is for 2nd shift. The selected candidate will start on 1st shift until transitioning to 2nd shift when needed.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Associate (Level 2) Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
Experienced (Level 3) Summary pay range: $103,700 - $140, 300
